My
pet has passed on, but she was a very special person to me and I
just wanted to submit this in her memory. She was ten years old when
this picture was taken and she passed on last winter. She was a mixed
breed, but she was very similar to a small collie. We are from
Madison, Indiana. Dusty was my very first dog that I got after moving
out from home. I went to the dog pound and was looking for a dog
after I had just gotten married in 1986. No such luck finding a dog,
but when we was on our way out, someone was bringing Dusty into the
pound. They saw us coming out of the pound and asked if we was
looking for a dog. We said yes and I wanted to hold her first. After
I held Dusty, that was it, I knew she was the dog I wanted. We ended
up taking her home and her name was Dusty, so we just kept the same
name. She was the best dog I have ever had in my life. I could talk
to her and she knew exactly what I was saying. She was my very best
friend and the first "baby" I ever had. I don't know why
the people to her to the pound, but they sure did give up on very
smart dog. She will always be in my memory, as she was a part of our
family and will be sadly missed. We love you, Dusty.
