When
Poco moved to Colorado from Texas she felt like she had come to
"dog heaven." Poco loves to hike the high country, and
after a long hike she enjoys swimming in the cool streams, rivers and
lakes of Colorado. In the winter she loves to go cross-country
skiing, and especially loves to run in the refreshingly cold snow.
Rarely does Poco stay home alone. With her owners on opposite work
schedules, she is sure to always be with one or the other. They often
bring Poco to work with them, and she always travels with them (even
on their honeymoon when they went to Taos, New Mexico and stayed in a
delightful, dog-loving B&B). Poco is unusual for her breed
because she has two blue eyes and only a few spots. When people stop
her owners on the street and ask "What happened to her
spots?," her owners usually reply, "She's the 102nd
Dalmatian, they ran out of spots when they got to her!" Not only
does that garner some laughs, but it earns lots of admiration for
this unusual Dalmatian.
