We're
especially lucky - we have two very special dogs. Sahara is a
seven-year-old Doberman/Shepherd mix. Sam is a six-year-old
Lab/Border Collie/Boxer mix.
We found Sahara at the Humane Shelter when she was nine months old.
She's definitely the brains of the dynamic duo. She learned how to
open doors when she was 1-1/2 by jumping up on the lever handles and
pulling down. Fortunately, she has also learned how to push doors
closed.
At three years old, Sam proved to be too exuberant for a family expecting
a second child. We were very happy to become the new owners of this
unstoppable bundle of energy. His antics can keep us entertained for
hours. He especially loves to play tug o' war with Sahara. Although
it wasn't exactly "love at first sight" the two are now
inseparable. Sam is very content to let Sahara rule the roost. And
Sahara is very protective of her brother. Even while sleeping, they
have to be "butt to butt." This picture shows them at their
