This
is Stella. She's fifteen months old. Stella is a fabulous little
Bearded Collie. People often mistake her for an Old English Sheepdog
and are surprised when I tell them that she's a Bearded Collie. Even
though her hair is long, Stella sheds very little and is easy to
brush.
Among breeders and owners they are known as "Bouncing
Beardies." There's a reason for that. They can perform a
vertical leap from a standing position that you wouldn't believe. She
can do a vertical leap from a standing position to about four to five
feet. Literally. I've never have seen anything like it. Stella has a
temperament that is right out of heaven. When it's playtime, she's as
playful as can be. And when playtime's over, she lays down at my feet
and is calm and peaceful. Anyone who is fortunate enough to live with
a bouncing beardie is indeed a lucky person.
