Bearsie
was found by my mother out on the mesa one day while walking her other
dog. She had been abandoned, and sitting there with burrs in her fur growling and
barking at my mother. My mother walked up to her and asked the little black
furball "Do you want to go home with me?" The little black furball
wiggled it's tail happily, so mom picked it up and carried it home. Mom called
the animal control to come and get the puppy after she had gotten a bath and a
long brushing. Animal control came and took the puppy away. Mom however couldn't
get the happy little bundle of fluff out of her mind. So after the five day
waiting period, mom went down and picked the puppy back up from animal control.
Bear from then on became one of the family. She's the protector of the family and
barks and growls at anyone not in the direct family. She loves lying outside
under the apple trees in the shade and tormenting my parents other dog, all in
play of course. She thrives on attention and if you are ignoring her, she'll
knock you off your feet and lay on you. She's a ham for the camera and a sucker
for a hotdog. But she's our loveable Bearsie.
