My
first memory of Annie is her running out of the garage on my birthday, with a
pink bow around her neck. From the time that I was six, she was my dog. She was
my friend, when I was feeling down. She was there to listen to me, when no one
else did. We made wonderful memories, and we had this special bond, that only a
dog and a person can have. Never did she bite, even when my sister used her as a
step stool to get onto the couch. She was the kindest dog, and I feel so
privilege to have had her in my life, for even those short years. When Annie
died, I was incredibly sad. But receiving many cards from family and friends,
whom had also been touched by Annie's presence on this earth, helped me get
through that horrible time in my life. When I think back on my time with her, I
can't help but smile. I know that she is watching over me, caring for me, such as
I did for her.
