wow! Some people say that this computer has gone to the dogs. You have
no idea how correct they are. Hello -- my name is Sprocket. I was adopted
by this nice couple a few months ago; Chris is giving me the opportunity to
write a message right now. You can catch me at
[email protected],
but don't expect me to respond quickly. Keyboards weren't designed with
dogs in mind. I've already invented my own drooling pooch emoticon: :b....
I was a stray a couple of months ago, but the family which found me
couldn't keep me. One of them posted a request on an electronic bulletin
board, and Gretchen saw it. The nice family took me to the vet, and had me
professionally groomed, so I was looking pretty good. Within a couple of
days, Gretchen & Chris drove down to see me. I was kinda excited when they
pulled up the driveway, but that's mostly because I had been in a cage all
night. They took me for a walk, and I behaved nicely for them. In fact, I'm
a pretty well behaved dog -- for being a stray. But what would they call
me? "Hey Gretchen," Chris said. "This pup looks like the dog
from 'Fraggle Rock!'" And so, they started calling me 'Sprocket.'
I'm a year old mutt (Terrier-Spaniel), housebroken, and full of love. I've
been pretty obedient around the house, although I'm still getting used to
my new surroundings. I enjoy being outside, but I'll lay quietly at Chris's
feet when he works on Lockergnome.com stuff in his office. For some reason,
I enjoy chewing on wood. Barfing up splinters the other day hasn't stopped
me. Next week, I get to visit Jasmine -- she's Chris's parents' pooch.
He says my bark is worse than my byte, even though I haven't been very
vocal since coming to my new home. And I learn new tricks rather quickly. I
know how to sit, wait, roll over, spin around on my hind legs, speak, and
play hide and seek! Bark at you later!
