Hi,
my name is Max. I am a two and a half year old black Labrador and I
live in Toronto, Canada. Even though I have the most common name for a
dog in North America, there is nothing common about me. I am a sporting
dog! I will chase anything that is willing to run. I am a water dog! I
will swim through the dirtiest of ponds, I will swim after wind surfers.
I will sit quietly in a canoe and not bark when the blue heron takes
flight, but I will jump in the lake when we pass the beaver's dam. I am
a playful dog! I will take on dozens of Canadian Geese in a "wild
goose chase", all the while wagging my tail. I will allow the
little chipmunk to sit in my bowl and feast on my breakfast, but I will
bark loudly when sensing a bear near the cottage. I may not be able to
speak, nor be a rescue dog but I will lie down when children approach
me, greet all with a wagging tail, play with all other animals, and I
will unconditionally love those who care for me.
