My
dog's name is Raven. Raven has two different colored eyes, one amber
and one light blue, which to some people makes her look scary but she
is very friendly and loving. Her fur is very unruly and curves in many
directions, but she is still soft and beautiful. Raven loves to run but
she runs in a special way. While her front legs move independent of each
other, her hind legs hop together like a rabbit. Raven has many toys as
she is very active and loves to play fetch, but just like children she
will leave her toys in different places. However, when asked to get her
toys she remembers exactly where she left them and brings then to me one
by one. She is very smart and obeys every command, even before they are
given. When I leave the house or go to bed I have always put Raven in
her bed and latched the door. She is so smart that when she sees I have
changed clothes she puts herself to bed without being told. At night
when I turn off the tv and start turning off lights she gets up, picks
up her favorite stuffed toy which is Simon the snake and walks into her
bed, she knows it is bedtime. Raven also watches out for my health. I am
not supposed to sit in one position for more than one hour without
getting up and moving around. When I sit down at the computer Raven lays
beside my feet and exactly one hour almost to the second, she gets up
and uses her nose to nudge my hand off the mouse, as if saying, "time
for a break." I rescued Raven from the local animals shelter. At the
time I was looking through the shelter she was sick with kennel
cough but she still managed to come over and smile. I knew she was the
dog for me. Raven has turned out to be a great companion and friend.
