Midnight
is ready for the new millennium! He has been ever since we
got him; however it has not been easy. When he was only six months
old Midnight had to under go two surgeries: 1 - to remove pieces of a
wool blanket about the size of a tennis ball, that we didn't know
that he was ingesting; and 2 - the next surgery - less than a week
later, to repair the placement of his stomach, small and large
intestines because he had ruptured his incision from the first
operation. We have really babied him.
We had hoped that he would spend most of the time outside, but we
have really babied him. He is now a house dog, but we still cannot
leave him out of his kennel when we are not home - because he still
eats everything... especially when he gets mad at us. We need to pick
up all pillows, remote controls, etc. when we go to bed because he'll
get even. Midnight is about 110 pounds, but he will always find just
enough space to fit in between Dave and I and our two Siamese cats in
the middle of the night. It does get very crowded sometimes and even
though we don't have any children yet, we don't get much privacy. But
no matter what time of day, it's always so nice to have all of the
animals around. We don't know what we would do without them.
