This
is Winde Star Tasha Khail (we call her Khail). We adopted her when
she was sixteen months old. Khail is Alpha Female in our group of six
(two females and four males) and she rules the roost. She truly believes
she is a human as well. We have birthday parties for all of our dogs and
they wear birthday hats, special bandanas, have birthday cakes with
their own name on it, etc.....that is all except Khail will
participate! She leaves the room during the singing of "Happy Birthday".
She always gets the most comfortable seat in the house and if anyone is
already sitting in it, they get sat on too. She is very regal in
attitude and thinks the world revolves around her. You never have to
raise your voice to her when telling her what to do, she understands
just as a child does. If you raise your voice, it hurts her feelings and
she will sulk and brood about the insult for hours. Khail is the perfect
house dog as well, she is the only one I have ever had that will
not bother food if you leave it unattended on the table or
countertop. She will wait until it is offered to her and then will still
not eat it until it is in her dish and nobody is watching her. She likes
to dine in privacy. She is very affectionate with family members, but is
snooty to strangers until they become friends. She never forgets
somebody who has visited us. If she liked them, they are warmly welcomed
back and if she didn't like them, she ignores them when they come back.
We love her, she is one of a kind.
