Hi,
I'm Luka and my parents say I'm pretty special. So do my friends,
the local children who always ask my Mom if I can go out and play. I
love to play with Mom and Dad, too. My favorite games are frisbee (the
neighbors say I'm a natural), tag, skiing, hiking, agility and tricks.
My many tricks include dancing (when I'm done I take a bow), back-up,
rollover, beg, jump, lap, and everyone's favorite, bang! (play dead).
I'm a very lucky dog. I was lost and very scared, carrying my chain with
me when someone brought me to the Humane Society. It was scary there,
too. A lot of dogs and people and noise. But they treated me really
nice, especially my friend Lesli. I wasn't there long before my new
parents came and took me home. I hope the other dogs were as lucky as I
was. I sometimes visit the Shelter and perform tricks for their events.
I just want to say there are so many wonderful dogs at shelters, just
hoping for a chance to be like me. And us shelter dogs bring so much joy
because we really appreciate having a new chance at life.
