Hello!
This is "Sonny", a four-year-old dog. She's mix between
labrador retriever, golden retriever, german shepherd and doberman. We
live in the western part of Norway. She is a working dog - we use her to
track down injured wild game, and put an end to their misery. Once we
searched for almost five hours after a deer who had been shot and
injured in the foot. In nine out of ten cases, an animal with that
injury is not found. But we made it!
She is also my hero - she saved me from being robbed in my own home. One
late night, she woke me up, furiously barking. I got up, and she managed
to scare away a thief. She is very devoted to my children, and the other
animals in the family. (Another dog and two cats).
Once she woke me up in the night - she wanted me to go outside. I didn't
understand what she wanted at first. But after a while, she led me to my
eldest cat, who had been hit by a car. If it hadn't been for her effort,
my cat would have died, but he survived thanks to her.
