Kalie
came into our lives at the age of three months old. We had just
lost our nine year old female shepherd, Chelsea. We got Kalie from an
animal shelter. We had called prior to going to see her. When we got to
the shelter, of course they had many animals. We went to the cage where
Kalie was and she looked at my husband and I and cocked her head and
tried to give us her paw through the cage. The attendant let her out...
she sat square on her butt and gave us her paw. I started to cry and
said "she is the one for us". Kalie has brought us much joy
and happiness in our lives. She is intelligent and obedient. After a
week or so our eight year old sharpei/shepherd decided she could stay.
What makes Kalie special? She is happy, playful and intelligent. Every
night our 85 pound "daughter" gets in her daddy's lap to snuggle.
We name every toy we buy her. When we ask her to bring us a toy we call
it by name. She has always brought the right one to us!!!
