This
is Jake, a Border Collie mix (we believe the mix is Tasmanian
Devil). As cute as he may look, there is a devil inside this precious
puppy waiting to play or chew at any given time. Yet at night, the times
we treasure the most, Jake cannot get enough love. Of course he sleeps
in our bed and the closer the better. Many times, we will wake up at
night and his head will be level with ours. He even has a tendency to
hog the covers. During the day he is business as usual, while his Border
Collie instincts drive him to herd whatever may be looming in the
backyard. Once his work is over, he climbs upon the picnic table in the
back and protects our yard. His reward comes in the form of a daily walk
in which he looks for puddles to splash in. He loves the water. In fact,
we have even caught him standing in the middle of a sprinkler
occasionally. Jake has many special qualities, too many to count.
However, we believe we are the special ones; we have found such a
wonderful friend.
