Nikki
is the "ours" in "His, mine and ours." When
the last of the four children headed off to college seven years ago,
we found this beautiful Lhasa Apso to fill the quiet hours and our
hearts. We often comment that our kids were never as happy to
see us walk through the door at the end of the day. No matter how bad
the day has been, she immediately makes up for it in her dancing and
kisses and unconditional love! We travel across country by car every
summer and she's the best little traveler we could ask for. Never
asks "are we there yet?" She just loves to sit between us
on the arm rest and smiles across the country.
Every night at bedtime, Nikki sits next to my husband while he
brushes his teeth and has to have a little lick of toothpaste before
she allows us to share "her" bed. And we can't go to sleep
until she's shared a tm with her Daddy. Don't think she's going to
get wet outside on a rainy day while doing her duty. Oh, no! Daddy
holds an umbrella over her and they venture out together. She's
spoiled beyond measure, but she pays us back a hundred fold with her
loyalty and love. We can't imagine life without her! Not only does
she alert us when some one comes in or near our place she gets very
up set when I leave and growls at me.
