This
is Shenzi, my five year old, female Border Collie/Samoyed mix. We
live together in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Shenzi's name means
"uncivilized" ... which I didn't know when I had first named
her that. But during the first year of her life, Shenzi lived up to her
name. As a young Border Collie mix, Shenzi showed extreme intelligence.
She learned everything there was to learn about being a good little
puppy very quickly, and then she got bored. Add a major touch of
separation anxiety, and Shenzi turned out to be, well, quite
wacko at times. Shenzi has since grow into a fine (sometimes not
so easy to handle) "young lady." She now has the job of
keeping all other dogs in the family in line. Shenzi will even
"rat" on the others when they have done something wrong. If
Shenzi has taught me one thing in life, it's how to be patient!
