These
incredible creatures have come into my life and changed it over
the last two years. I had never seen dogs that small before. But I've
found myself guardian of two very different, yet incredibly passionate
souls.
Madeline (Maddie) is a five and a half pound Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie).
She is a furry ball of energy who never tires of playing with her toys.
She's vocal and unafraid of even the largest dogs. She's very curious
and I find her often watching me, trying to understand the human things
I do all day long.
Lucy is a five pound Long-coat Chihuahua. She can be jittery at times,
but fiercely territorial too. She sleeps long hours and then releases
saved up bursts of energy running around outside. She's a big dog in a
little dog's body, with a heart as big as any canine. They have become
my friends. I can look into their eyes and see companionship and love. I
consider it a great honor and privilege to have them as part of my
family.
