Well
I'm a Basset Hound, but my Daddy gave me the nickname of Bagel when
I was younger because I didn't look like a full Basset, I have short
ears and small paws, but trust me I'm 100% Basset! I like to sleep on
the couch with my Mommy, wrestle with my Basset brother Iggy, and sleep
with Mommy at night on the waterbed. Mommy and Daddy even bought me and
Iggy our own waterbed, but we like theirs better! Mommy wanted a
Dalmatian, but since I have spots like one she picked me! I'm so lucky!
Whenever Mommy is sad or sick I curl up with her and stick my cold wet
nose in her face so she knows I'm here for her, and then I get a big hug
for it! I like to keep Mommy's feet warm on winter nights as long as I
get some of the covers too, us Bassets aren't known for warm hair, but
we hold our own. I have also been called a Beaver, Daddy put in a new
wooden fence and I chewed it all up, pots and planks had to be replaced
all over the place because of me, I'm so proud! Iggy and I like to try
to sneak out and play with the sheep and cows that live all around us
and (this is a secret I think Iggy has a crush on a sheep next door)
They are fun to walk around and bark at, but I don't think I want one to
step on me!
Branda Leigh is my baby girl, and she knows it. She's my live teddy bear
at night, and sometimes snores louder then her Daddy! The only problem I
have with her is her white hair gets all over the dark green rug or the
black quilts. It's a mess to vacuum and wash all the time, but I
wouldn't give her up for anything in the world. She was a special
comfort for us when we put down our oldest son, Syren (shep/lab mix)
because of cancer. The night he passed, she wouldn't leave our sides,
she knew something was wrong, but was an angel. She's my baby doll and I
wouldn't trade her for anything... Well there are times... *grins*
