Sophie
is a sixteen-month old English Pointer. I picked her out of the
shelter when she was only eight weeks old. She loves people and wants to
be by my side at all times. She is extremely energetic and will chase
balls or sticks until your arm is sore. She loves the water. I
recently took her to the swimming hole we visit, and she immediately
jumped in the water and proceeded to swim for a solid twenty minutes
without touching dry land. She regularly reduces me to tears of laughter
by flopping on her back at the feet of complete strangers and making a
very loud, high-pitched squeal/howl, begging the person to pet her. They
always oblige her. She's a clown to say the least, but a true friend.
