Sophia CD, aka Sophie is just the most wonderful dog in the
world. She was a rescue dog that was found tied to a dumpster in
Chicago. There were reasons I could see for her abandonment, but nothing
that could not be overcome. We worked (and still do!) hard together in
obedience until we came to an understanding. Now she is a titled
obedience dog and a wonderful companion. She may be the happiest dog
alive! We go to bars together, to the beach, to dog parks, and just
about anywhere else she is allowed to go. She is very, very social and
she has this look that says "Come say hi to me!" that she
combines with a little howl that almost always gets people to visit with
her (even cat people!). We also go to pet therapy at local nursing homes
and she gleefully gets into bed with even the most indigent to bring joy
to all.
