This
is my dog Prince. He is a seven-year-old, small mixed breed. We
live in Kentucky. I instantly fell in love with Prince the first time I
saw him. He was so anxious to get in the truck and go home with me. The
reason he is so special to me is because he adores me. From the
moment we met, he has been at my side (or under my feet). He is very
communicative and very sweet. He lets me know how much he loves me
everyday, unconditionally, no matter what is going on. He is so
intelligent, has attitude for miles, and I swear he has a sense of
humor. I know he will be on my side even if I am at odds with the rest
of the world.
This picture was taken on one of our camping trips. Prince has never
liked the camera, and usually turns his back to me when I try to sneak
in a shot of him. On this particular day, I was determined to get a
close up shot of him. I lay on the ground, camera aimed, and waited
patiently for him to look my way. He is a smart one, and a quick glance
to check if I was still aiming at him was all I got. His stubborn streak
quickly rubbed off on me, and I lay in that propped position determined
to get a clear shot. I could tell he was as annoyed with me as I was
with him because we were both huffing and puffing our grievances. Then
finally, with my hand quivering from holding the position, Prince
suddenly turned to me and looked me dead in the eye. I snapped the
picture right before jumped to his feet. It wasn't until I got the roll
developed that I realized he had the last laugh on me. As you can see in
the photo, he stuck his tongue out at me, ruining my perfectly good
close up shot. Gotta love him.
