This
is my dog Tex, he came into my life as a tiny puppy that would fit
in one hand. My dog Sam, a rottweiler/lab cross, was dying of heart
failure complicated by diabetes, as well as blindness. He was given to
me by my niece, she offered me my choice of the litter her dog was
having when she found out about Sam. When he was two weeks old I saw him
for the first time. Now his paw is bigger than he was then. Despite the
fact that he is 37 inches at the shoulder and weighs 165 pounds he still
likes to sit on my lap, or on the couch next to me to give hugs.
