Aloha!
This is my dog Kahekili (pronounced kah-hey-kee-lee), which means
"thunder" in Hawaiian. She lives with me on the island of
Kaua`i in the state of Hawai`i. I am not sure how old she is, because I
got her at the Humane Society on O`ahu in December. I was told that she
was found as a stray... I don't understand how someone could throw her
away!! She is the sweetest thing!! Not to mention beautiful and smart
too!! I am guessing that she is around two or three years old, she
thinks she is a puppy. As soon as I sit down, she will run over and
throw herself into my lap. The force of her 70-pound body, is usually
enough to knock me on to my back. She loves to run, so every weekend we
go hiking into the mountains together. Kahekili is my best friend, and I
am grateful to her previous owners for letting her go so that I could
adopt her.
