What
makes Taz special is when he was nine months old he saved us from a
house fire. We had fallen asleep and had accidentally left a box too
close to a wall heater in the living room. Our smoke alarm was on our
kitchen table, because it had gone off that evening while I was cooking
(no I wasn't burning anything). It got a little too warm in the kitchen
I suppose, but anyway, about two that morning I thought I heard the
phone ringing and then I heard Taz whining real hard like he was wanting
to go out side real bad. When I woke up I, all I could see was smoke
from the ceiling down to where I sat up in bed. I then realized the
ringing was not the phone but the smoke alarm we left on the table that
evening. Well, I screamed fire and woke my husband up and Taz was crying
by then. We got the kids out and hubby put out the fire in the living
room that had already started up the ceiling. I feel if it were not for
Taz whining and crying in the bedroom, we would have died from smoke
inhalation. In our eyes he is a Hero... We love dogs... home is where
you hang your heart.
