I
would like you to meet Sheena, who is an eight-year-old German
Shepherd who resides with us in Carthage, NY. Sheena came to us eight
years ago after we lost our eleven year old German Shepherd, Sheba, to
cancer. Sheena certainly kept life interesting. She was eight weeks old
when we got her and loved to chew. While at work one day, I came home to
find that she had literally chewed up our couch and chair. The cushions
were totally chewed up and the stuffing was all over the house. The
wooden legs on the furniture had been gnawed. It got to be a standing
joke at the office to see what Sheena would do next. During her
puppyhood, she ruined Christmas decorations, knick knacks, shoes,
slippers, etc. Eventually, the chewing stopped (there wasn't anything
left in the house she could wreck). She is very protective and if any
stranger comes into the house, she circles them and won't let them move
until I tell her it's okay. She is the most loving and faithful dog. As
you can see by the photo, she is also a little spoiled but we love her
dearly.
