This
is Harley. He is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, or Toller,
for short, and was six months old in this picture. Harley is the most
loving dog I have ever met. He loves people and he loves tennis balls.
He really loves people who throw tennis balls. He brings a smile to the
face of every one he meets. When he is older I hope to have him tested
as a Therapy Dog so that he can bring joy into the lives of others like
he does for me every day.
He does not have his Therapy dog designation yet, we went to have him
tested & they said he was too young. :( In the meantime, we have been
working very hard and having fun teaching him to be a working retriever.
He loves to retrieve more than anything else and he has already passed
his basic certification to earn the title of WC. What made this even
better was that he was barely nine months old at the time. He has grown
into those paws (and ears) to be a very handsome boy. He is always a
happy dog and has a very sweet temperament. He loves people - especially
anyone who will throw tennis balls for him! I still hope to have him
tested for the Therapy dog program in the future.
