is a picture of our angel - Yuki Dixon. She is a five year old
Peek-a-poo and is the most precious, intelligent dog on the planet!!!
Why is she special? Everything about her is special. She loves to be
held and to give you kisses and snuggle. She is never grumpy, just
always smiling and loving. She understands everything we say. We talk to
her like she's a human and she just does whatever we are talking about.
If we are sick, she is right there to look after us. She has just added
so much love and joy to our home in the five years she's been with us -
it's just unbelievable.
What tricks does she do???
Well, she dances, sings and talks when you ask her if she wants a
"treat". She spins around and walks on her back feet. She puts
her head back and sings her head off and is so proud of herself!! She
catches treats that are dropped. She always knows which hand we are
hiding a treat in and taps that hand with her paw to get the treat. We
hide treats in the house and she finds them - she loves to run around
the house and find where the treats are hidden. She's an only child so
she sleeps a lot during the day but at night she is ready to play!! We
play tug of war and she gets on the bed and goes crazy finding my hand
and attacking it under the covers.
Her funniest game is "get Daddy - get Mommy". She'll be on his
lap with her paws on his shoulders. He'll whisper "get Mommy"
and she come sailing across the room and fly into my lap - put her paws
on my shoulders and kiss my nose. I'll whisper, "get Daddy"
and she will fly back across the room and into his lap... this goes on
until she has gone back and forth six to eight times and we are all worn out
from laughing at her. She learns so quickly - we show her something one
time and she never forgets. She is certainly "gifted"!!!!
We own a tennis camp and live in a dorm in the summer during the camp.
Yuki loves the campers as much as they love her. She just loves being
around people and other animals. When we go outside she immediately
looks up and down the street to see if anybody is there. She just knows
they are there to see her. She does Community Service by making visits
to schools, Churches Vacation Bible Schools, Nursing homes and visiting
elderly shut-ins. She brings so much joy to everyone.
She is very special and very beautiful. She also has such nice manners
and is so polite - just a perfect "little Lady"!! We've had
people tell us that they wish their kids were as nice as Yuki!! We take
her every place we go and she is always the center of attention because
of her beauty and wonderful personality. She is our Dog of the Day
every day!
