Amber
lives with me (her mom) and her younger sister Lexie (a gordon
setter mix) whom she loves very much. Although I like to call her my
little princess, she rules our house like she's a queen.
Yes, Amber can be as prissy as she looks (she likes to pose for the
camera as you can see), but she can get down and dirty with the big
boys as well. She likes to keep her pretty little white paws clean
(she walks around puddles to avoid them) and hates to have to go out
and do her business when it's raining outside.
She's a typical Sheltie, as she's very shy and wary around strangers,
but to people she knows, she is extremely loving and loyal. She smiles
and half closes her eyes when she sees someone she loves. She's very
affectionate and likes to kiss even her sister. She also barks a lot,
but she is well-trained and usually pipes down when I ask her to.
She is very protective and a good alarm dog and doorbell. Most of the
time, I can't hear the doorbell ring, but I don't worry because she
always lets me know when someone is at the door. Her favorite toys are
stuffed animal squeaky toys, especially her lamb. She'll wrestle them
to the ground and squeak them until she's had enough. It's such an
adorable sight to watch how feisty she can be. These are only a few of
the reasons I think she's special.
