Hello,
my name is Lucy. I am a Kelpie and I live in Australia. I am
three and a half years old and have lived with my friends Susan and
Shelley for three years. When I first came to their house I was a bit
ill but after many visits and tests at the vet, they discovered that I
had a pancreatic enzyme deficiency. It meant that none of my food was
being absorbed which explained my nine kilogram weight. Ever since I
have been on a strict diet of chicken and rice and special biscuits
and three years later I am 17 kilograms, so I think I was very lucky
that they chose me. I have a big sister whose name is Cassie and she
is nine, we are the best of friends and love to walk and play ball. We
are really both supposed to be rounding up sheep, but I think we both
prefer to sleep in a beanbag inside and enjoy the heater on cold
nights rather than sleeping out in a yard under a tree. So I guess you
could call my sister and myself "out of work sheepdogs."
