Here
is the newest furry member of our
pack, Janie. Janie was rescued the day after Christmas by Second
Chance Adoption. She was found abandoned and very hungry in the
wilderness in Northern Idaho. Her big brother
Ted,
had been begging us for a little sister. We said "O.K., but only if we
can find one that's just like you." With some effort on our part we
found Janie on the PetShelter Network.
Ted and Janie are nearly identical in their mix of
breeds. They are so beautiful and joyful together, people ask us what
kind of breed they are and how can they get one. The truth is, of
course, we may never know for sure, but our hunch is Golden Retriever
and Australian Shepherd. Janie just loves to tunnel through the snowy
fields on our walks; she makes delightful little grunts and moaning
sounds when she plays and she is so eager to please. She is special
because, like her brother, she is a kind, gentle and loving soul.
Janie has now found her home and family, a place where she can feel
loved and safe forever.
