Hi!
This is our dear thickhead - Baron! Baron turned twelve months old
June 23rd, and he will get to be about 48-50 kilos (105-110 pounds)
of pure, lickin' 'n'lovin' rottweiler. Born in Snake Gully here in
Victoria, Australia, he has graduated to the city life, and the big
smoke, but he's had plenty country romps, through the grassy hills and
lakes, on our weekend escapes from the mad confines of Melbourne.
My husband chose this photo to submit, saying nobody
could ever miss its energy! Baron is chewing on a favorite bone, and
not too sure about the intention of the photographer...
Baron came into our lives just two weeks before our former rottie,
Ruka (now in the big rottie-kitchen in the sky...) was diagnosed with
a fatal blood malignancy. He helped her through her final weeks of the
most-blessed life, and ourselves through our grief for our sassy lady.
And he cheerfully grows and lives alongside us in our busy lives.
Baron loves to watch tv, as any city dog would. National Geographic,
and Soccer are his favorites. He never lets a chase pass him by, and
gets very impatient if any of the players stall for time! When the
scenes of the hyena puppies come on, Baron is up there licking the
screen, and when the show ends, he searches everywhere behind the
set... to no avail. He's a cute slobberer, and stops traffic with his
looks when walked in the daytime!!! Before we got Baron, all the girls
used to stop and look at my husband go by, as he bears a close
resemblance to Brad Pitt... (poor me...) But now, all the eyes for
Baron only, and Mick is all mine!
