My
dog is Bandit. Bandit was rescued from Animal Services in Sarasota
Florida. Bandit is currently a Search and Rescue dog for Sarasota K-9
Search and Rescue. She is trained to find people, live or dead. I have
trained Bandit for five years. Her training consists of agility (ladders,
teeter totters, a-frames), advanced obedience, boat training, riding in
helicopters and airplanes, rubble piles and much more. She is also a
certified therapy dog. This is important because after a disaster she
helps to comfort the family. When Bandit and I are training, it's a game
to her. She doesn't understand the importance of what she does. She
doesn't know that these games can save someone's life. Bandit is my
partner and friend. I'm blessed.
