This
is my smooth-coated St. Bernard, Sadie, who's four years old.
This picture was taken the day we went to Michigan to
meet my parents' two new Bernese Mountain Dogs, Max and Charlotte. The
three dogs hit it off from the first meeting and are now great pals.
I heard about Sadie through St. Bernard Rescue and adopted her just
two days before a local shelter was scheduled to put her down. She
took some time learning that she could trust me. One of the best ways
we built that trust was through obstacle work. She's the only giant
breed I've seen climbing an A-frame, leaping hurdles, climbing a tire
wall, wiggling through fences, etc. She loves it and so do I. Sadie's
a wonderful pet who will do anything to please people.
