Buzzy
is special for so many reasons. I adopted him from Adopt
A Pet, a non euthanizing agency which rescued him from the city dog
pound. At the time of his rescue, he was badly matted and was infested
with ticks and fleas. They lovingly bathed him, treated him,cut his
hair and gave him the name of Buzz. I did not change his name as it is
very appropriate since he buzzes around so busily. I adopted him
partly to become a playmate for my Lhasa Apso who had a genetic
condition and was not expected to have a long life. They became the
best of buddies. That Lhasa died and now Buzzy has a new playmate,
another Lhasa Apso who I rescued from Lhasa Rescue.
Buzzy loves to chase bugs, lizards, and frogs in the back yard. He also
climbs the mesquite tree where he has a good view of his back yard and
has access to the bird feeder and the seed, to which he sometimes helps
himself. Buzzy has a compulsion to take one of my socks to the yard
when he goes out. If the sock is not readily available, he searches
for it. But he is a good dog, and will go get it and bring it in on
command. I believe he has the cutest personality of any dog I have
ever known. He is not much of a daytime lap dog as he is so busy
playing, but when bedtime comes, you will find him under the covers as
close to "mom" as he can get.
