Pharlap
is the world's most beautiful mutt... well, at least that is my
opinion. He's a very social boy, and loves everybody/ everything that he
meets, including cats, other dogs, people, kids...etc. He loves to give
kisses. He captures the heart of everyone he meets. He also loves to
eat, but we have to limit that for him, since he just doesn't know when
to stop. Pharlap is going to be a very big boy when he "grows
up"....at seven months he is already 75 pounds! He's already quite
the escape artist, so after a few fence renovations my yard is starting
to look like a military compound. He lives with his "people
parents", and his "uncle" Scarf, a German Shepherd, his
"cousin" Chewey, also a German Shepherd (who's foot you can
see in the right side of the picture), and his kitties, Lucky, Buddy,
and Fram.
Pharlap came to live with us when he was only six weeks old. He had
originally been adopted by some girls heading off to college when he was
only five weeks old. Somewhere along the way, they realized they
couldn't have a huge dog living in the dorm with them, and unloaded him
on an OTR driver at a truck stop. He, of course couldn't keep the puppy
either. We were returning home from an out-of-state trip, and stopped at
a McDonald's to grab a bite to eat, and the truck driver was sitting
outside feeding the little guy a hamburger. He was so tiny and so
sweet... we immediately fell in love... and we just so happened to have
our pet carrier with us. The rest is history!
