Dakota
is a wonderful Siberian Husky. I had always wanted a Siberian
Husky and had been reading about them for the past year. I had been
calling breeders around the area trying to find out how I could find
someone who might have a litter on the way. After a few months of no
luck I happened upon an ad in the local paper. It was for seven little eight
week old huskies. I called right away and found out where they were.
My wife and I went to look at the puppies and were overwhelmed by seven
little prancing huskies. One little guy came up to me with a tennis
ball and just sat there looking at me. I picked him up and he was just
as calm as could be. I instantly fell in love with the little guy.
Unfortunately I could not say yes right then. I went and looked at
kennels, dog houses, food and other supplies. I decided that yes I
wanted the little guy and bought all the extras needed for keeping a
dog. We went back and picked him up and brought him home. He was very
calm and did not fuss at all. I thought I had lucked out and found a
calm, well mannered puppy. But within a week he was an inch taller and
was running all over.
He has now grown to be twice as big and has more energy than I know
what to do with. He loves to play in water. Every time we give him
water he drinks just a little and then dumps out the rest so he can
play with the dish. He also loves playing with the six month old
kitten. His other hobbies are digging of course, and playing tag with
me. We both love Dakota dearly and the look on his face when we get
home shows us he loves us just as much.
