My
pet's name is Phoenix (meaning from the ashes). Phoenix is
approximately three years of age and is a purebred German Shepherd Dog.
Phoenix had to fight hard to stay in the ball game of life and overcome
grave mental anguish that stemmed from apparent dreadful experiences
which had become terrible mind demons that needed to be conquered. He is
now healthy, joyfully happy, and ever so loving -- and quite the clown
at times, all which is wonderful to behold.
My heart melted when I first saw Phoenix, a wonderful joy who has now
easily become my heart dog for all time. Phoenix once needed a bridge to
a new life, and that bridge was given him by

of Houston -- and I was just fortunate enough to become his forever mom!
Once fearful, lonely & unwanted, severely emaciated & afraid to
love, Phoenix is now my sleek, bright-eyed, tail-always-wagging-for-joy
boy! I can't imagine life without him as he has so willingly returned my
love and devotion a hundred times over. This picture was taken a few
months back when he was just starting to realize that life could be a
totally new picture and he'd also gained quite a bit of weight, but
still had more to go! You should see him now! We're too busy having fun
together to slow down long enough for the camera!
