Here
is Sparky after having a good swim at the beach. Sparky was
adopted nearly two years ago after our dog Scout died suddenly from an
overdose of anaesthesia for minor surgery. We named him Sparky because
he brought happiness back into our lives. Always ready to play, always
ready to lick someone's face. We think he is part Saluki because he
tries to catch balls first with his feet. Sparky is important to me
because I like having a companion when I go running in the morning. We
usually run on a canal towpath. When it's warm (meaning, for Sparky,
there is no ice on the canal) I let him take a swim every couple of
miles. He teases his adopted sister, Gretl, and sometimes steals
unattended sandwiches from the counter, but most of the time Sparky
just brings loads of laughs and happiness to our home.
