This
is our puppy Zeke. He lives in West Orange, New Jersey with his
mom, dad and two cats, Calvin and Hobbs. He is a mixed breed (german
shepherd, golden retriever, rotweiller, chow....you name it!) about six
months old. He weighs about 55 pounds now and we expect him to keep
growing, and growing....
Zeke is a very special puppy. He was rescued from a "kill" shelter on
September 11th and brought to a wonderful shelter in East Hanover,
New Jersey. When my husband was at the shelter, Zeke was playing with
some other people and just stopped and stared at my him. We knew then
that he had picked us and was meant to be a part of our family. We are
so lucky to have found such a wonderful, loving dog and we just can't
understand how anyone could have given him up!! Zeke is a very good
dog, very mellow, and very low keyed. When ever we take him to visit
some one's house, we are always told he's welcome back because he is
so well mannered. He has learned a lot of tricks and loves to show
them off to people. Besides having his tummy rubbed, his favorite
thing to do is play with his dog friends and chase the cats around the
house. He doesn't understand why they run - he just wants to play!! We
love this big, furry, lovable dog and think we are the luckiest people
in the world that he picked us!
