About Us
Lacey, the Dog of the Day
Name: Lacey
Age: One year old
Gender: Female Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Home: Salisbury, Maryland, USA

Lacey is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I had high hopes of buying a champion show dog, and I purchased Lacey from overseas. The breeder had assured me she was "show quality", but when I received her at eleven weeks old, she was only three pounds. She is probably what some show people would call "weedy", lean on bone and muscle, but to us she is more beautiful than any trophy winning champion. Lacey is simply a joy and has filled our home with love. She fit right into our family from the very beginning, and made friends right away with our other dog, cat, and of course my sons and hubby ! She has never growled at anyone, even in play, nor did she go through the typical puppy nipping stage. I have never known a sweeter dog. She will jump up on my lap wherever I'm sitting, lick my hubby's ears, cuddle in bed with my two sons, and absolutely is bonkers over our cat. We call her our "lovey dove" girl. If one of us is sick, she's there to comfort. If we want to sleep late, so does she. If a stranger walks up to her, she's his or her best friend too. The only time she ever barks, is if she sees another dog on T.V. No, she's not the best watchdog in the world, or a Westminster show dog, but to us she couldn't be more beautiful inside and out!
