Grizzily, the Dog of the Day
Name: Grizzily
Age: Three years old
Gender: Male Breed: Golden Retriever
Home: Delray Beach, Florida, USA

My name is Grey Haven's General Griswald, but my friends call me Grizzily. My family think I'm the best pet in the world!!

Other than a slight digging problem and a huge shedding problem, my dog Grizzily is the best dog in the whole world. He is always at the door when I come home waiting for me. He lies there on his stomach with his head between his paws and he looks at me with those big brown eyes. He knows a wide variety of tricks and the only reward he expects for doing them is a good game of ball. What really makes Grizzily so special is his great love and tolerance for his older sister Maggie. She is an 84-year-old (in dog years) Yorkie who only weighs around eight pounds. Grizzily could easily snap her neck and end her life at any time but he lets her rule the house. She's the boss. If I put down a plate of food for them he'll let Maggie eat freely and doesn't attempt to invade her space until she's all done. If they get a bone or a pig's ear, he won't ever attempt to take hers away from her. She loves to save hers as long as she can just to torment poor Grizzily but he just lies there and adoringly watches her. Once in a while he'll bark at her or come crying to me but he respects her space and wouldn't hurt her for the world! This kind-hearted nature of his towards others, whether human or animal is what makes Grizzily pure gold and the best dog in the whole world!
