This
is Tasha - the Love of our Lives! We think she's a pure-bred
Siberian Husky, but we'll never know for sure. She was a stray,
found near a busy highway with no identification. Though we had
just moved into a brand new house, and were not immediately
looking for a dog, we took one look into her beautiful eyes and
decided we had to give her a home. Though she was initially quite
mischievous (a trait we already knew was common in Huskies) she
has, thankfully, calmed down over the years. Once, when we
boarded her, she climbed up and out of her chain-link cage
causing quite a commotion with the other "boarders." Next, she
made her way out of a second enclosure by chewing through a
wooden door, then scaling a six-foot fence leading out to the main
kennel yard - more commotion... We now refer to her as our
"Little Houdini!" In the process of these escapes she managed to
crack a tooth which required a $1,000 root canal.
Now for her Good Points! She has at least twenty toys and knows them
all by name. Although she rarely barks, she has a vocabulary of
several distinctly different "Woo-Woos" depending on whether she
wants food, treats, to go outside, or simply to play. Her
favorite "people foods" are yogurt, ice cream and cheese. She
loves napping in the snow during the winter and sleeps on top of
our air conditioning vents in the summer. She has gorgeous,
crystal blue eyes, a soft silky coat, a "smile" to melt your
heart, and she will kiss anyone who asks. We're thankful
everyday that this beautiful animal has blessed our lives with
her love and affection!
