This
is Sunny, short for Sunshine. From her mutt characteristics,
she is believed to be from Chow Chow, German Shepherd, and Collie
decent. Sunny was abandoned as a puppy and found in Palm Springs,
California wandering the streets emaciated and covered in ticks
and filth. She was rescued by a daughter of a Sharpei/lab
breeder in Trabuco Canyon, California where she was groomed, fed,
and medicated. Just three days after her rescue, we found her
adoption ad in the Orange County Register and took her home for
keeps.
Sunny is my first dog, she's my little girl since I don't have
kids yet. She's been with me through everything, my first home,
my first boat, my marriage, and she'll be there for my first kid.
Sunny was diagnosed August of 2001 with Irritable Bowl Disease
and is still on medication. She was also born without a pancreas
and has to eat special food and powder every day. She is a
special doggie with a big heart and loves everyone. She tends to
get scared of little dogs and thinks she is a Great Dane and
loves to play with big dogs.
Sunny can say "Ma-Ma" and speak on demand. She knows a couple
tricks and hates bringing the ball back when retrieving it. She
loves watching my husband and I play tennis, she loves to go
fishing, camping, and just for 4x4 mud rides.
Overall, the most I think of about her being special is her big
brown eyes. She says so much when she's looking at you. She is
our little girl.
