This
is my girl Murphy. This was her last Christmas with us. Murphy was
such a wonderful friend. She was my second Sheepdog. After my first one
got sick, and had to be put to sleep, I was totally lost. Murphy was
godsend. We filled a void for each other. She came (unbeknown to me)
from a puppy mill. She looked fine at six weeks, but as she grew I noticed
many different things. To make a long story short, she had hip
displaysia. I took her to the University of Missouri Veterinarian School
in Columbia for surgery. She came out with flying colors, but she still
always needed special attention. That was not a problem for me. Anything
she wanted, she got.
I had my girl for eight years. She developed a respiratory problem. After
many tests, a tumor was found on her heart that had been growing over the
years. It finally metastasized were it was causing fluid to back up into her
lungs. It broke our hearts because she was in perfect health prior this.
(so we thought).
She is now in heaven with our first sheepdog, Molly, having a wonderful time.
She was a lifesaver for me, and I miss her very much.
