Lucky
was given to me on Valentine's Day by my boyfriend. He had
always wanted a dog of his very own but he could never have one
because his step dad wouldn't allow him to keep one in the house. We
started looking around and we asked my mom if I could have a dog, she
said no for a while because we had "too many pets" to begin with (we
have a dog and three cats) but we kept looking anyway. I always wanted
a Cocker Spaniel and my boyfriend had always wanted a Jack Russell.
His mom saw a sign for free puppies at the neighborhood pharmacy and
gave us a call. We called the couple and went and took a look at the
puppies. Lucky was the cutest of the little pups and we knew we just
had to have her. I called my mom to try and talk her into it. We
explained it all to her and she agreed. We couldn't take her home for
three more weeks because she wasn't old enough to be taken from her
mother. We were so excited we could barely stand it. That night we
went and got her a collar and a leash and everything else we thought
she needed. Three weeks later, Valentine's Day, we went and got her
and she has been a part of our family ever since. She and my cat even
bathe each other.
