We
don't know how many puppies were in the litter with Duncan, but he
was left in a box outside a northern Michigan shelter with his brother
and sister in the middle of winter when they were about 10 weeks old.
Labrador/German Shepherd/Hound is our best guess of his breed.
Duncan is now devoted to being a gentleman. He takes on the task of
being the best friend of every new addition to the household, and he
has "trained" our Pointer mix, Hope, and our cat, Poco, in how to
play. Despite his size and gangliness, Duncan is extremely gentle. He
likes children, and everyone is a friend. As soon as we get home from
work each day, Duncan has to find me and "check in" so I know he's
thinking about me (his mom) before he goes outside or has his supper.
