Athena
is our two-year-old Basset Hound. She makes us giggle every day
with her goofy demeanor and singing howl. Her favorite things to do
are visit the Dog Park, dive into fresh snow banks and lounge around
in her very own recliner. We purchased this recliner a couple of years
ago, and if we dare to sit in it, she'll sit at our feet and bark
until we get up. Then, she hops up into it and goes to sleep. She has
three beds around the apartment that are her very own, but for some
reason she loves this recliner. Athena keeps us warm in the long
Minnesota winter by lying on top of us, she seems to think that people
are just another piece of furniture. She also loves to steal our socks
and play "gopher", or "Go-For" Athena. She never chews them, just runs
around the house with them leaving them in random places for us to
find. Sleeping, squeaky toys and long belly scratches are the things
that make her the most happy! Oh yeah, and giving sloppy kisses!
