Buddy
is special because he came to us through SPDR and has been the
light of our lives ever since his adoption on January 1, 2001. We
have dubbed him our "New Millennium Dog" as he represents the start of
a new beginning for us since we lost our beloved Dog of the Day,
Ace,
in 2000. Buddy came to us in his own time of need, as his owners had to
move unexpectedly and were unable to take him along. So, in a way, we
found each other. Every day since has been a new adventure -- it was
almost like getting a new puppy!!! There was his first bath, his first
car ride, his first trip to the vet, his first chew toy, his first
grooming etc. Through all of this, Buddy has been a wonderful, charming
'trooper'! We never thought that we could again be blessed with such a
precious addition to our family, but it can and does indeed happen!!
Buddy has been an absolute joy to have in our midst. When I asked my
husband for a "real, live teddy bear." I had no idea how close he
would come by providing us just that with a Pomeranian. He is a
perfect little child/gentleman... and filled that hole Ace had left in
my heart!!
