Woof,
Woof.. my name is Terra. I was adopted from a shelter six years
ago. I had another family but they didn't come to claim me. My new Mom
liked the look in my eyes when she visited me, little did she know
that it was a look of mischief!! She was selected as my new owner when
many other people wanted me also. We didn't get along very well at
first, it took awhile for us to get used to each other. I think Mom
almost took me back to the shelter, but one day I curled up on the
couch with her for a nap and I never heard anymore about that. I am
glad to be with my Mom, she is very special and treats me very
special. She calls me 'little girl' and I like that.
I am a basset and beagle mixture, which makes me all hound dog. I love
to chase rabbits. Am always on the lookout for a rabbit during our
walks. I drag my Mom under bushes and around pine trees looking for
those rabbits. I like to make friends with new people and animals. I
always greet people when I see them. Most of the time they will pet
and talk to me. I like that, it makes my day! Most dogs are also
pretty nice but cats are a different story... they are pretty
standoffish. We go for a lot of walks together and I am always
patrolling our yard on the lookout for rabbits. I am special to my Mom
because I make a good companion and give lots of love everyday. I
demand a lot of attention which Mom is happy to provide. Right now, I
am pretty tired from chasing rabbits and being outside all day as you
can see from my photo. I am ready for my nap, BYE
